CSA Membership

What is CSA?

Community Supported Agriculture consists of a community of individuals who pledge support to a farm operation so that the farmland becomes, figuratively, the community's farm, with the growers and consumers providing mutual support and sharing the risks and benefits of food production.

  • Members buy a share of the farm’s production before each growing season.

  • In return, they receive regular distributions of the farm’s bounty throughout the season.

How does CSA work at Magee Farms?

Magee Farms CSA will consist of 40 members.  Each member will pledge $500.00 to support the 2024 growing season. In return each member will get 17 weeks of produce/or other crops from the farm starting May 8, 2024 and continuing through August 28, 2024.

Magee Farms CSA is different than other CSA memberships in that we will not have pre-packed boxes for you, each week you will get to pick items from the CSA list to take home.

Our CSA will have approximately 8-10 different items consisting of an assortment of produce, occasional flowers, dairy and a special treat. The produce changes as the season changes and we source only locally grown and processed items. Members also receive weekly newsletters with updates about the farm, what is new on the list and recipes for the items available for that week.

What are the member's responsibilities?

There are only 2 things required of our members:

One: Pledge your $500.00 to become a member.

This can be done in one payment or two.  For the two payment option, 50% is due at the time of membership and the balance is due by April 24, 2024.

Two: Members need to pick-up their weekly items starting May 8, 2024 through August 28, 2024.

  • CSA must be picked up at either our Selbyville or Lewes location on Wednesdays from 10am-6pm by the CSA member.  If you need to designate another person to pick up your produce, you must notify us by email 24hrs in advance.

  • Giving back even more to the community, if you are unable to pick up your box on a particular week, Magee Farms will donate your box to a local food bank/charity organization to help feed others in the community.

  • If for any reason, the store has to close on pick-up day, we will notify you of when you can pick up your items that week.
